One of my favourite quotes goes like this: “All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.”

Have you ever been over-powered by the speed of your thoughts?

To find talking about them a frustrating little drop as compared to the whirlpool of thoughts flooding in your mind?

Have you ever feared that a lifetime won’t be enough to fulfill your cravings?

Have you ever thrown yourself into such deep thoughts that you could not sleep?

That you could not relax because you had an irresistible anxiousness and zest to set your plans in motion, even if it was 3 in the morning?

Has it ever happened to you that the day seems too short to explore every inch of your passion?

Have your dreams ever given you shivers down your spine?

I’ve always wanted to believe that people have greatness inside of them, that people are capable of being great, of doing wonderful things.

I read a book recently, ‘The Secret’. Ever since I read the book, I cannot take its message out of my mind. One such line in the book piqued my interest:

“You are the masterpiece of your own life.
You are the Michelangelo of your own life.
The David you are sculpturing is you”

We all are the masters of our fate; we all are the captains of our souls.

The moment we live now is a part of history which the future generations will talk about. Our mere existence is a part of history. Therefore, we all CAN make history.

How much time do you think we have now? 40, 50 years? Maybe. Do you think that’s a lot? I don’t think so.

Do you feel you have enough time to waste doing things you really don’t like?

You and I have just one single shot at this.

Do you think you can afford to dump your life down the river of mediocrity?

It’s time to get started, NOW. Each one of us can achieve all that we want. Each one of us is a genius. But if you judge a butterfly on its ability to swim in water, it will live its whole life believing that it’s stupid.

Our job is not to worry about the “How”. The “How” will show up out of the commitment and belief in the “what”.

You can achieve WHATEVER you set your mind to.

Just remember to hold fast to dreams. For if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.

Oh, and…

“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that. But the really great make you feel that you too, can become great.”  –Mark Twain
